Jared Decoteau

Background

Jared co-founded Fortress Family Law after a distinguished career representing clients in complex and highly contested family law matters. Over the course of his litigation career, he developed a deep understanding of the legal, financial, and personal challenges that accompany divorce, parenting disputes, and support matters.

Today, Jared focuses on helping clients navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives with clarity, perspective, and compassion. He meets personally with every client during their initial free consultation, taking the time to understand their circumstances, concerns, and goals. Following that initial meeting, Jared works with the Fortress Family Law team to determine which attorney is best suited to handle the matter, drawing on his experience and knowledge of the firm's attorneys to help ensure each client is matched with the right advocate. He remains a trusted resource to the team, bringing the perspective and experience of a seasoned family law litigator to every client's case.

A graduate of American University Washington College of Law, Jared brings to Fortress Family Law over a decade of experience in family law and a deep commitment to helping clients and their families move forward with confidence.
