Originally from Tennessee, Patrick Hoover brings more than a decade of legal experience in Colorado courtrooms to his current role with Fortress Family Law. He focuses exclusively on family law matters, including divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, post decree modifications, and domestic violence protection orders.
Before joining Fortress Family Law in 2026, Patrick practiced at some of the leading law firms in the Denver area where he handled a variety of family law matters as well as other civil litigation issues. Early in his career Patrick clerked with the prestigious Judge Angie Arkin, a long-time leader in the family law community, which served to strengthen his desire to help families and hone his family law expertise. Patrick's experience includes all phases of litigation related to divorce, custody arrangements, child support modification, post decree disputes, and all other aspects of domestic relations proceedings. His years of experience and composed approach to his cases serve his clients well and allow Patrick to successfully mediate, negotiate, and advocate for his clients inside the courtroom or out.
Patrick earned his Juris Doctor from IIT Chicago Kent College of Law in Chicago, IL and his BA from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.

I hired Patrick over 5 years ago when my son’s dad tried to gain full custody by accusing me of child abuse. It was terrifying and devastating. Patrick went above and beyond for both me and my son. Over the next 4 years, Patrick stuck by me; days when I was super emotional and upset, and days when I could breathe and accept the sickness of my son’s dad. My son’s dad tried this trick 2 more times, putting us through hell. 2.5 years later and lots of therapy for both my son and I, Patrick helped me gain full custody.
